Des Sawyer

It all began in the early 70s when Des Sawyer, the visionary behind the brand, embarked on a journey to become a master of handcrafting fine surfboards. With relentless dedication, Des honed his skills across a vast range of models, adapting to different eras and design changes. It wasn't long before his craftsmanship caught the attention of some of the world's greatest surfers, who sought out his boards for their unparalleled performance.

Among those legendary surfers was his own son, Stevie. Growing up, Stevie spent countless hours mesmerized by his father's late-night shaping sessions. Immersed in the world of surfboard creation, Steven, an accomplished surfer across all disciplines, developed an unyielding passion for the craft. He delved into every aspect, from shaping to spraying, laminating, and even crafting his own fins. It was no surprise when Steven, now the WSL World Longboard Champion, took up the mantle from his father, carrying forward the legacy of world-class board building.

Today, the Sawyer Family continues to push the boundaries of innovation and craftsmanship, delivering surfboards that embody the perfect blend of tradition and cutting-edge performance. Each board they create carries the essence of their decades-long expertise, refined through generations of dedication and love for the ocean. Whether you're carving a wave or hanging ten, trust in the Sawyer Family to provide you with a surfboard that will elevate your experience to new heights.

Join us as we ride the waves together, united by our shared love for the ocean and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. Welcome to the Sawyer Family, where every wave is a canvas and every ride tells a story.
